The S. S. Devastator is a Hardmode gun that is dropped by the Submerged Mimic. It occasionally shoots special rocket projectiles in addition to bullets, which home towards enemies and explode to deal damage in a small area-of-effect.

It can be considered an upgrade to the Shark Storm.
The ability to fire homing rockets is similar to the vanilla weapon Vortex Beater.
