The Dark Gate is a Pre-Hardmode Healer spell that has a chance to be dropped by Goblin Sorcerers in the Goblin Army event. On use, it creates two gateways: one at the player's position, and the other at the cursor's. Right-clicking the gateway spawned at the cursor teleports the player or their allies to the other gateway's position, restoring health in the process. After it has been used, the gateway cannot be used again for a few seconds; the cooldown duration decreases with the amount of additional healing the user has. By default, the cooldown is 12 seconds, and decreases by 0.5 seconds for every bonus healing.
Only one pair of gateways can exist at a time; attempting to summon more will replace the first pair. Gateways additionally cannot be placed if there are tiles blocking the line of sight.
Like all healing items, it benefits from any additional healing effects and cannot receive a Modifier.
