The Gilded Slime is a rare enemy found in the Cavern layer. Like a typical slime, it hops towards its target to deal contact damage. Upon death, it will spawn four Gilded Slimelings. Similarly to Gilded Lycans and Gilded Bats, it emits a noticeable amount of light, allowing the player to easily spot it while underground, without the use of Hunter Potions.
Like most other slimes, both forms of the Gilded Slime will be passive towards any player with the Royal Gel accessory equipped.
Killing a Gilded Slime will complete the "Pay Day" contract, unlocking the Shiny Object in the Tracker's shop.
It is one of the few entities that can be detected by the Lifeform Analyzer or its upgrades, with a rarity of 2.
